About Fins Across Florida
Following the successes of past fiberglass animal projects such as the Tampa Bay Tour of Turtles and Manatee Menagerie, the Outdoor Arts Foundation has partnered with Tampa Bay Watch to introduce Fins Across Florida, a State-wide endeavor featuring the funkiest fiberglass fish Floridians have ever seen.
Each region throughout Florida will have it's own fish and the Tampa Bay Area will be the first to exhibit these creative creatures.

The Foundation is already planning to organize similar projects throughout Florida featuring various fish species found in the waters of the Gulf of Mexico, Florida's Atlantic Coast and interior lakes. Sixteen of these species have been identified and designs for popular Florida fish including the Grouper, Snook, Mahi Mahi, Snapper, Spotted Trout and Large Mouth Bass are already in the works.
The first "Fins Across Florida" project will kick off in the Tampa Bay Area with 6' x 3' fiberglass Tarpon. Called "Tampa Bay Tarpon," the project will serve has a model for all other cities and set the bar for what can be accomplished when art is combined with environmental awareness in a community-wide project.
